Strategy, vision and purpose

MacGregor aims to be the global leader in maritime cargo and load handling solutions. To reach this ambition, our strategy is built on two main pillars: portfolio leadership and service excellence.

Sourcing

MacGregor’s vision is to be the customer centric leader in sustainable maritime cargo and load handling by expanding our installed base through supply to over 50% of newbuild vessels; increasing global service share, capitalising on digital capabilities, achieving our climate targets and ensuring we meet customers’ expectations on quality, time, cost and responsiveness.

Suppliers

MacGregor appreciates long-term suppliers throughout each business area. We choose our suppliers with care and on the basis of objective factors such as quality, reliability, delivery and price. Compliance with laws and regulations as well as respect for international human rights are required of each supplier. Our aim is to create joint value for our own and our suppliers’ business.

Management

The MacGregor Executive Team is composed of leaders from both support functions and divisions. Jonas Gustavsson is our CEO. MacGregor Group AB has elected Hubertus Mühlhäuser, Mika Vehviläinen, and Thomas Hofvenstam as new Board members, and Ilkka Tuominen has been re-elected to continue his service on the Board.

MacGregor history and milestones

The MacGregor brothers invented steel hatch covers in 1929, forming the company in 1937; the market has benefitted from its innovations ever since.
